As I meandered along the tranquil roads of the Virginia countryside, I came across a bright yellow sign with big red “estate sale” lettering. Intrigued, I found myself drawn to the old farmhouse, its rustic charm whispering tales of forgotten treasures.
Upon entering, I was greeted by a scene straight out of a fairy tale—a trove of delicate china and elegant furniture awaiting new homes. And there, nestled amidst the splendor, was this elegant bowl.
Though its origins remained a mystery, I couldn't resist the allure of its intricate design, graceful form and timeless charm.
After the bowl came home with me I learned that this was a cloisonné box which is a metal working technique used to create intricate designs with enamels. Such a beautiful find in the most unexpected place deserves to be cherished.
