These harmful substances, often unlabeled, are prevalent in cheap, mass-produced candles from big box stores. At Witchish, we refuse to compromise on quality. Even if it means we may not turn a massive profit or make this a full-time job due to our higher price point, we stand firm in our commitment. We prefer to create wonderfully aromatic candles that are safe for your skin over prioritizing profit. It's simply not worth the risk. While our candles may come with a higher price tag, your investment goes towards the highest quality ingredients, uniquely hand-blended, sophisticated fragrances, and supporting small, local artists. To ensure a clean, smoke-free burn, allow the wooden wick to cool completely after the initial lighting. Once cooled, gently use your fingers to snap off the blackened portion of the wick, similar to trimming the sooty part of a traditional cotton wick. This simple step helps maintain a beautiful flame and enhances your candle's performance.

The burn time of a candle can be influenced by various factors, including drafts, the length of time the candle is allowed to burn before cooling, and even the humidity in the air. On average, you can anticipate approximately 8-9 hours of burn time per ounce of our specially formulated, toxin-free, phthalate-free, and skin-safe wax. This ensures a longer-lasting and safer candle-burning experience for you.
